I am going to drop my dad off at the airport tomorrow, for a 4PM flight and want to stop for lunch somewhere on the way. Can anyone rec'd a sit-down lunch anywhere on the way? We like almost all foods, although he will be flying internationally, so something on the lighter side, might be best.

    Thanks.

Not too far from the expressway is Sol de Mexico. Great for appetites of all sizes, and opens at 11.

Gibson's off the River Road exit on 190 can offer anything from a 48 oz porterhouse to a salad. For a light lunch, I really love their crab and avocado salad on the appetizer menu. six ounces of crab, a ripe fresh half avocado, sweet red peoppers and a spicy asian style dressing. If you want a little red meat, they offer a salad with 3 or 4 tourenados of beef, blue cheese, onion and iceberg with a vinagrette.

Even better, you're five minutes from the passenger drop off at O'Hare.
