My boyfriend and I just moved back from New York City after living there for a year.

Andersonville has always been my favorite neighborhood to live in and I'm so happy to be back.

There are a decent amount of new restaurants that have cropped up in the area in the last year and I'm hoping for a little direction on which to try first. We're looking for a dinner place tomorrow (Saturday) night

I've heard a lot of great things about Antiprima, but we're not in the mood for Italian.

    Any suggestions?

it depends on what you're in the mood for . . . Sunshine Cafe isn't fancy at all but seeing how they just recently reopend after almost a year hiatus, it's certainly one place in Andersonville many of us (esp those of that live in the neighborhood) are very, very happy to have back.

I'm not a fan of their just so-so Mexican food, but I think Angel's back patio with the apple and pears trees is such a nice little spot . . . so you could start there with a margarita or sangria and then make your way wherever you end up going.

have fun wherever you end up!

I know I'm responding too late, but La Tache is a nice little bistro, I love their salade Lyonnaise, & the outdoor seating is nice.

well, this really is too late, but i really like Hamburger Mary's and i'd be there all the time if it weren't so far from me. (why does andersonville seem as bad as wheaton on the 'wayyy-out-there' scale?) it's a lot of camp, which comes across really strong, but the good news is it's unnecessary - the food stands on its own. if i hadn't been there with my boss, i for sure would've tried the fried twinkies, but that seemed a little immature.

upstairs is a place called "mary's attic" which is a bar/hangout place which is supposed to be hoppin'. that's what i hear.
