I've only recently begun eating cherries in the last three years. I used to watch my entire family devour pounds and pounds of cherries for weeks on end when the season arrived. I never liked them because they were too squishy. I still can't stand them cooked (as with most fruit IMO.)
Anyway, maybe I'm late, and you've been enjoying them for weeks already, but, I haven't had any of the "real good" ones until yesterday. I've been buying small bags for about three weeks now, and only finding a few good ones in the bag. Yesterday, I bought two pounds @ 1.89/lb, and each one in the bag was big, fat, crisp, juicy, and sweet. These are the Bing cherries that will rival the Ranier cherries but only cost about 1/3 of the price. I'll be going back and getting about four more lbs after work today. That should last me until Wednesday.
THEY'RE HEEEeere!
