Post #1 - November 2nd, 2004, 10:59 amDoes anyone out there know of any good food/drink specials being offered to voters with receipts today? Please share with the forum if you come across any today.
And on another note, I found out that my favorite hot dog place, Flukey's, is a polling place.

Post #6 - November 2nd, 2004, 12:08 pmWhen I lived in St. Louis, I was offered the following as enticement to vote. It happened several times so I know that it was not a fluke.
1) Ride to the poll despite the fact that it was ONE block away.
2) Free lunch at the diner.
3) An invite to a party that night with FREE beer.
All in a one-party city where most of the alderman ran UNOPPOSED.
Fortunately the candidate who was offering all of this ended up in the Federal Pen a couple years later for corruption.

They are apparently, but you had to buy a burrito one of the days last week and save the receipt. The receipt + your card from voting is good for a free one today.
I still have yet to ever try Chipotle. I just can't be bothered to, for some reason.
Moonshine at Division & Wood is doing 1/2 price pizza or quesadillas with Voter receipt or 2004 registration card, as well.-Pete

Post #10 - November 2nd, 2004, 4:17 pmToday I had lunch at Edna's. My voter's receipt was good for "$1.00 + the cents" off of my bill. This lunch will be posted about elsewhere and I'll comment on the food then.Steve Z.
