My friend and I went to Scylla tonight for dinner before they closed their doors tomrrow night. We were sorry for not coming here sooner. We ended our delicious dinner with a brown sugar cake layered with a blueberry jam, topped with a salted caramel sauce. The cake was actually very thin and looked like thick graham crackers but had a chewy, soft texture similar to brownies. It wasn't really spongy or crumbly either, it was a texture that I don't recall ever experiencing in a dessert. They kind of reminded me of blondies, but thinner. I begged our server to ask their pastry chef (Todd Kunkel) if he wuld be willing to share his recipe, but I don't think he even bothered to ask. I was totally willing to sign a confidential agreement not to use this recipe for commercial use!

A girl can try, right? Anybody have any ideas of how I can recreate this at home? I was thinking about starting with a recipe for blondies and first modifying the amount of flour for starters.
