Joe Rogers Type Chili in Chicago?

Can someone please give me a Chili recommendation in Chicago. Currently my favorite Chili is Joe Rogers in Springfield, IL

Joe Rogers chili is not chunky, but instead it's quite greasy. So greasy, in fact, that there is an option to "skim the grease" (cowards.) The consistency is more like Steak & Shaken chili, but much more flavorful.

Not at Lindy's. A good local chili can be found at Elena's on 16th St. (across from Freddy's) in Cicero. But it is not going to be like that stuff in your photo. Much less grease and they use a couple types of beans. But it's tasty.

Although I've never had Joe Roger's chili, from the looks of it you just might be satisfied with the version over at the Ramova Grill.

And even if it doesn't measure up to ol' Joe's, Ramova's classic diner setting (it probably hasn't changed much since it opened in the 30s) is well worth checking out.

While you're there, consider trying their tamale boat/mother-in-law?. It's the one of the tops around.
