    Hello fellow LTHers,

I need help in finding a space/venue in which 200 seated people can fit. It'll be for a business meeting so it must be aesthetically suitable and it'll be held at about lunch time. It should preferably be near DePaul (1 E. Jackson Blvd) and located in the loop. I’m open to places that do not meet these requirements as well, so please suggest away. If you need any other information from me please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Carlos

I would try one of the private clubs in the loop. Most cater to business lunches and have AV support, etc. The Standard Club and The Union League Club are both near DePaul. The Standard Club has pretty good food for a large dining room. The Chicago Bar Assn has a dining room that you can rent near DePaul. The Mid-Day Club, Mid America Club and Club International at the Drake are also very nice. The drawback is most require membership to host a function but the will usually make an exception. You will be surprised how many peole belong to these places if you mention them at work. Also the East Bank Club can host meetings/business lunches.

I've been to several events at the Metropolitan Club (Sears Tower) although you need to be a member to use it.

Harry Carey's is pretty big. They rent out the whole 2nd floor. Its a block north of the loop (on Kinzie?)
