OK, looking for some non catered suggestions for our rehersal dinner. Here's the deal- the wedding is at the Allegro (Wells and Randolph) and we don't want the rehersal to be too far away- a short cab ride is ok. Spiaggia is out as their room is hideous. Fullton's is out as their food just isn't all that great.

We are going to have about 100 people and are open to a buyout. Some places we are thinking of right now are Spring, 160 blue, Otom (currently my favorite). Other restrictions are that it must be wheelchair accessable or no more than 1-2 steps.

Price should be kept to $150 or less pp.

    Help? :)

Don't rule out Fulton's just yet...

I'm not really nuts about the place either, but they did a really wonderful job with our dinner. We had 150 people, so our options outside of a hotel or a buy-out were pretty limited.

We did a cocktail hour out on the riverwalk with a bunch of passed hors d’oeuvres, and then dinner in their largest private room downstairs (accessable by elevator). I had pretty low expectations for the food, but everything was actually really good. I think I might still have some of the menus and stuff they provided me so PM if you're interested.

Another option which I would have liked to have done is Gibson's. They can do up to 100 so that could be an option for you.

I'd say it really depends on what style of food you're going for. Your budget is pretty wide open (which is good) so, you have a lot of choice. I think Otom has a nice open space, and their "contemporary comfort" food would be a nice choice for this kind of dinner. Plus, they were very attentive to our group when we were there; I have no doubt they would do the same for you.

I think Spring leans a little more to the contemporary side of things, but their food is definitely good, no doubt about that. I have no other suggestions, really, but it looks like you're on the right track.
