I used to live down from Corby's on Lasalle downtown in law school. However, if you don't mind a good mix of drunk locala and sh*tfaced Notre Dame coeds rocking to 80's standards (God I miss college) there's no place in South Bend, or the World for that matter, like the infamous Linebacker Lounge - mainly only rockin' on Thu-Sat night on Angela and 23 across from the Jameson Inn.

If you really want to scope out some potential underager college types and yocals check out The Boat Club downtown South Bend - really meets the dive standard.

If you want FOOD -

Try CJ's downtown for still the best burger I've ever had. If you have the balls, go for the 22 ouncer.

Or Macri's deli for great sandwiches and huge beers! Pretty much a 2 minute walk from Corby's DTSB

Bruno's just outside of downtown SB is great for pizza and has a little bar.
