I saw this posted on the web and thought I give a heads up for a good deal.. Although its a Heart Attack on a bun. :)

Supposedly at some Culvers the $1 burger deal is the first in a series of 3 "Customer Appreciation" days. Tomorrow (Thursday) Culver's is offering $1 root beer floats. Friday, they're offering $1 short shake

Culver's to thank guests with $1 ButterBurgers

PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. — Culver's will thank its guests for making it the #1 Burger Chain in America by offering its ButterBurger for $1 on Oct. 10, 2007. Culver's was voted the Best Burger Chain in the Nation in the 2007 Consumers' Choice in Chains survey conducted by Restaurants & Institutions.

The $1 ButterBurger celebration will take place at more than 360 participating Culver's restaurants in 16 states. Each order can include up to five single ButterBurgers including pickle, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise and onion for the special price.

"Our celebration on Oct. 10 is our way of thanking our guests for their loyalty," said Craig Culver, Culver's co-founder. "Guests have many options for a burger, and we appreciate that they've noticed the efforts that go into not only making a great burger, but making our restaurants a great place to enjoy a meal."

A signature item since the first Culver's opened in 1984, the ButterBurger gets its name from the butter brushed on the crown of the bun before it is toasted. The burger is made from lean, all-natural, never-frozen U.S. beef seared on a 475-degree grill.

Good to know! I was planning on eating at Culver's tonight anyway as I have to pick up a package at the UPS in Franklin Park!
When I grow up, I'm going to Bovine University!

Wow, Culver's was mobbed last night because of the $1 butterburgers so we decided not to stop. Guess I need to get my fried cheese curds fix somewhere else!

I went yesterday out in Bolingbrook and there was no line at all around 2pm. There were no signs or any advertising at all for the $1 special which I found interesting. I also had a pumpkin shake that I really enjoyed. I'm definitely going to head back on Friday for a dollar shake.

The $1 shakes are a no-go, at least in Darien and Bolingbrook. Shame, as I was looking forward to a 2:00-3:00 pick me up and the shorty shake would have been perfect. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
