I need a restaurant within a 10 minute drive of Pulaski and Peterson to swing by after the Harvest Festival at North Park Nature Center. It's for my birthday, and grandma and a 4 yr old will be along and they'll have come from Milwaukee do don't want to drive much further. We'll eat pretty much anything, but want it to be a little nice. Considering Fondue Stube and Semiramis.

I'd recommend either somewhere on Devon, if that appeals, or taking a slightly longer drive (10-15 minutes) to Sol de Mexico, at 3018 N Cicero.

GNR Winner Renga Tai is just up the street at Crawford (Pulaski) and Touhy. You're also pretty close to GNR Winner Sabatino'sif Italian is more your style.

Tre Kronor is right in that area.

How about Myron and Phil's? It is really close. M & P's is a timewarp Jewish steakhouse/supperclub. The food is actually not terrible and the ambience is vintage weird. Granny might like it. I'd get a kick out of having a birthday dinner there.

    L. Woods - on Lincoln Ave. just S. of Touhy, in Lincolnwood, or Monastero's, on Devon E. of Pulaski . . . almost opposite Myron & Phil's . . . as an additional two possibilities.

Another thought... There are many Korean BBQ places in the vicinity. That is always a festive group activity. GNR winner Hae Woon Dae is less than 2 miles away.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. We ended up at Hae Woon Dae, which was great. My family had Korean for the first time and I think they all liked it. The best part, though, was going to the karaoke joint a few doors down afterwards. It took a little cajoling to get my dad to go, but he loved it.

Hiking, harvest festival, good food, and karaoke - a great birthday combo! Thanks!
