Here is another restaurant I visited this past Saturday. This place is located in Crystal Lake, IL. Located in a strip-mall with numerous other shops, I just stumbled upon it while exploring a little. A small place, only about 9 tables and a sit-down bar opposite of the carry-out counter/kitchen

The place has chicken roasting in a large rotisserie, marinated and roasted over hickory and apple wood logs. It was "too inviting" to pass up good rotisserie chicken. 1/2 chicken with garlic mashers and sweet corn niblets.
Besides being mildly greasy, the meat was practically falling off the bone.
The garlic mashers were red-skin potatoes, (with the skins mixed in), and were mild in garlic flavor.

Also ordered an appetizer of bruschetta, which was almost as great as the chicken.

The chef also appears to be an instructor as well. A local paper is framed on the wall of the place, which tells about the restaurant, and interviews the owner, who apparently teaches food courses in Marengo, IL.

The place also has a website: www.crwoodroasted.com

A place I will be visiting again in the near future.
