All this PR content published in blogs, papers and on TV shows is really starting to get old for me.... Gold leaf and a gem stone does not make for tasty food. Let's have more real food reporting and less PR junk

Man, I'd take the 100 bucks, drive on over to Midori Sushi and order SIX or SEVEN of their Maki rolls, 6 pieces of a la carte sashimi and one of Roberto's special Margarita's for the same price.

The $100 sushi roll doesn't even sound good to me. Gold leaf? Ick.

I mean, if you're fortunate enough to spend $100 on one entree, go get a gigantic Kobe beef Filet Mignon or a HUGE Lobster Tail and three top shef Martini's.

Some people have more money than they know what to do with - money's meant to be spent after all.... unfortunately those "some people" don't include me...

Though I used to treat it like headline news for food, stories like this are one of the main reasons I deleted my bookmark for Slashfood. There are only so many jewel-encrusted foodstuff stories a site can print before it becomes laughable.
