    All -

The other day I was searching for fava beans at whole foods and could not find them. It was strange they had only pre-cooked frozen beans.

Is this normal? Or do most other groceries stock the uncooked/dry type?

    Thanks!

    Jpeac,

Not sure about most groceries, but many if not all, Middle Eastern groceries as well as most of the markets along Devon, carry dried fava beans. I've bought them at both Marketplace on Oakton and Fresh Farms.

In season, fresh fava beans are a treat.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

Our neighborhood Mexican supermercado surprises us once again by carrying both fresh and dried favas.
