GNR dinner at Deta's Mon 11/5 7:00pm

I'll be giving Deta her GNR on Monday evening, Nov 5. Since it's such a small place, we can't handle too many people, but it would be great to get a headcount.

I'd like to go, BUT, I'm going to Harrambee on Tuesday ... a different week would be better for me

and 2 -- 7:30 is such an awkward time -- especially on a weekday night -- it means I get home from work spin my gears for a bit and then venture out into Chicago again ... by which time my get up and go is usually napping

much better at 6 or 6:30 when I can go right from work

Would a late lunch be possible? And might it be less smoky?

My suggestion is to simply pick a date and time and see who signs up. If you wait for a consensus of everyone who might be interested in going, your event will never happen.

I've been craving some more of Deta's burek ever since MHays was kind enough to bring it to the LTH picnic, yet somehow haven't managed to get there....

After reading through the whole thread, I'm going with the date and time in the subject line--Monday 11/5 at 7:00 pm--as being the final word....

I plan to be there as well. My only problem is that Tuesday is my teaching day and I usually spend Monday night preparing, but I can wing it.

I have a conflict that evening, actually three conflicts!

However I have been to Deta's twice in the last few days. She recognized me as being part of the large group that has visited her. She is quite thrilled about the pending award, which she already has a printout on the wall.

I'm there in spirit though I cannot make it in person!

Looks like there will be 7 or 8 of us Monday night at Deta's - but room for a few more, if I can get notice by early afternoon.

We'll be having whatever Deta wants to cook, but it's bound to include burek, soup and a salad. $15 pp, BYO
