An oxymoron perhaps, like "Freshly frozen"?
My wife and I are long time burger lovers whether it be the heavy metal fun of Kuma's or the old school charm of Top Notch or Beinlichs.
Here is the rub: My wife has had a recent health scare and doctors want her to eat more food that is organic (or at least, hormone free).
Is there any way to cross this with a good burger? We thought of Crust because of the organic half but, of course, this pizza place doesn't do the burger half. We are also thinking in terms of a beef burger and not anything vegetarian or ground turkey/poultry (Nothing against either but the beef is the holy grail here!)
Any ideas or leads would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You!

When Tweet [Sheridan near Argyle] has their $10 Organic Burger, it is worth it. It is the only thing I like there, but they do not serve it everyday---as far as i know.

Sounds like you are looking for a restaurant burger. If you want to get burgers to cook at home, this thread mentions some mail order options, including Prospect Hill Farm, my brother's business. They sell all natural beef--no hormones, 100% Angus grass-fed, grain finished. I love the burgers. Check out their website, linked in the thread above, for details.
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff.
    T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.

You might want to check and see if the burger May Street Market offers as part of its lunch menu is organic. I haven't had it.

    Possible solutions to your dilemma:

    Uncommon Ground.
    Chalkboard.
Bistrot Campagne. (I can confirm they have an organic burger and that it's delicious. It's also 11 bucks.)

Buzz Cafe in Oak Park is listed as having an organic burger. Never had it/know nothing about this place, but it might be worth investigating.

are we just talking the beef patty as being organic or everything, bun, condiments, onions, lettuce, even fries?

thank you all for these wonderful suggestions.
In answer to a not so stupid question at all: Only the burger, the concern for my wife has to do specifically with added hormones in meat.
    Thanks everyone again
