restaurant-style containers for leftovers

Does anyone know where restaurants buy those round or rectangular containers that are black plastic on the bottom and clear plastic on the top? I wish I could get some to send my Thanksgiving guests home with some leftovers (and the sentimental family favorite, tetrazini). Yes, I could get some Ziplock containers from the grocery store; I'm just curious to know if anyone knows where the restaurants get those other ones.

Restaurants get them through their dry-goods supplier, most commonly Sysco or Don. You can probably find them at GFS, and I think I've seen them at Sam's or Costco recently.

There are two or three paper goods suppliers located on Randolph, just west of Halsted. They both stock them in quantities from 1 to 1,000,000. Sorry I don't remember the names (one might be called Bloom Paper Goods??), but they are located on the south side of the street between Halsted and Morgan.

My go-to supplier for such things used to be Amazing Savings, now RIP. However, many Card & Party - type stores sell a lot of foil and paper takeout containers with cardboard lids and other catering goodies. I've never seen the good plastic ones (which are a benchmark for good takeout for me) but I may have overlooked them.

Specifically, the store that took over Amazing Savings, should have some stuff for you.

Now that Don's is closed, where do you go for a restaurant supply house that's open to the public? Don's would have been my 1st choice.

I've not been, but have heard from a number of people Schweppe is a top choice for open to the public restaurant supply shopping.

There are a couple of places on Madison St as well.

Katie, there are LOTS of these black-bottomed clear-topped round and rectangular containers at the wonderful Dollar Store that is just west of Happy Foods on Oakton in Skokie. If I read the price sign correctly yesterday, these containers were three for a dollar.

The Dollar Store is not one of a big chain and I can’t seem to think that they have a name other than “Dollar Store”. I can’t find an address for them but the Happy Foods is just east of them. Here is Happy Foods’ address:
