Anybody had any really good experiences with take-out Thanksgiving?

Ideally I'd like it to come from the N/NW suburbs or at least the far N/NW sides of the city and be moderately priced, but I want to hear about anything exceptional anywhere.

Except something that it's too late to order.

Every year, the Fireside on Ravenswood makes a big deal out of their Thanksgiving meals for carry-out or delivery. I heard they are good (from a casual source), but have no first-hand experience. Their other food is generally pretty solid, but not terribly exciting.

Have you considered Elegance in Meats in Northbrook? I've always enjoyed their prepared foods.

Last year we ordered a lechon-style turkey from Cermak produce.
The spices were not overwhelming. It was a nice quality, moist, perfectly-seasoned bird. It complemented our traditional side dishes just fine.
It was DELICIOUS. The whole family (including the skeptical turkey traditionalists) were very happy and every scrap was devoured that night.
The staff at the store is very nice and they have a parking lot.

I forgot to post this earlier but Sun Wah will sell you whole turkeys roasted Cantonese style. They're freshly killed that day. Unfortunately, it's probably too late, but they will take reservations, and reserve a number of turkeys prior to Thursday. You can pick up your bird from them on Turkey Day, preferably early, as they tend to run out and may sell your bird. If you don't reserve one ahead of time, they usually have a few extra to sell if you wish to chance it.

I picked up a half turkey from them before -- it was pretty juicy if I recollect aright.

I walked by Sun Wah today and I thought that the sign on the door offered "bring your own turkey" for roasting. I have to admit that II wasnt paying any real attention to the sign in the window because my wife has already vetoed this idea. Besides I had Pho from Tank and a custard tart from the bakery across from Sun Wah on my mind. I also believe Sun Wah is closed on Thursdays so you might need to pick up the bird on wed unless they make an exception for turkey day.

There's a Polish bakery on Addison just east of Harlem that does it great. They devote their whole oven to doing Turkeys. I don't know the name, I'd have to ask my buddy.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Between the work schedules that kept us from cooking in the first place and general indecisiveness, though, we wound up dithering until we were left with unappealing choices, so we wound up going out. We had an excellent time at Zed451, recounted here.
