    Hi,

LTHforum's one and only Kansas City/Montreal/Wisconsin poster GEO is coming for dinner. While it is a bit last minute, I am hoping there will be a nice group to share all the treasures of Great Neighborhood Restaurant designee Ed's Potsticker House.

Please respond here or via PM!

I will try to join you tomorrow evening if I can figure how to get there by bus ... because I am not going to drive into the city of a Friday night.

    Hi,

I will be near downtown for a meeting until 7 PM. I could pick you up or you could stroll over to where I will be hanging out.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

    Hi,

So far there are 5 intending to go. If you get a last minute desire to go, then just drop in.

    Regards,

Another fine meal with excellent food and great company. It was fun meeting some new people and we tried most of the standards.

The appetizers were in excellent form; crispy potstickers with flavorful juicy pork inside, scallion pancakes with smoked pork, a simple yet delicious plate of green beans sauteed in garlic, soup dumplings, and an order of mixed salt and pepper seafood consisting of shrimp squid and scallops.

Lamb with cumin was tasty, I do miss the bit of char that LSC puts on their meat however. Fish fillet in spicy Szechwan sauce was similar to LSC's but significantly milder - to the extent that Cathy2 was able to eat and appreciate it! The eggplant in garlic sauce (aka fish fragrant eggplant) was as addictive as ever.

ps hey Edc, remember my brakes were feeling weird? They failed this morning, luckily not till I was pulling into the work driveway.
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

Tnx so much C2 for organizing this outing! It was great fun to meet you and the other LTHers in person and, but of course!, at table.

Ed's presented me with some new things, even after my own long time in China: they do NOT do their potstickers in Wuhan the way Ed does--I just love the lengthy goodness.

The egg plant simply blew me away. I've had it often, but always in the more typical style: mush, but extremely tasty mush. This was a whole 'nother world.

Sooo, food was great, company was even greater. Hope to see y'awl and more next time I'm in town.

Back in Montreal at the moment. Wonderful to get to my Other Home. No snow yet.

Sooo, you like wine and are looking for something good to read? Maybe *this* will do the trick! :)
