Hello All--
I am new to the site and am looking forward to reading what you all have to say. I love Chicago & it's restaurants, so I am pretty excited to have been introduced, through my awsome co-worker, to your site.
Reason I am posting today is to talk about a pretty new restaurant in Bucktown called The Bluebird. It's on Damen & Willow (right by Hot Chocolate). My bf & I visited Bluebird last Saturday and had a great experience. It's small plate tapas style with spanish & french influences. We are both in the restaurant industry and dine out a lot--and I can honestly say, of all the places we've been to recently, this one stands out. We ordered the beet salad, meat & cheese plate, scallops, flatbread & braised bacon. Yeah, braised bacon--talk about delicious. We couldn't have been happier with our selections. Wine list was fairly extensive and not too pricey. The only major down fall is the chairs. Most tables are banquette style--so when sitting down, try to steal that side.
Just wanted to give you all a heads up on a new fav of mine. If anyone has been there--I'd love to hear about it. And if you haven't been--try it!
Thanks!
Eat well & drink up,
Alis
