    Hi everyone:

I'm looking for loaf pans made of paper -- you'll often see them in bakeries on cupcakes etc. and you'll definitely see them on panettone. They make them for a loaf size -- 8x5 -- and I'm desperately looking for them somewhere in town. I've checked Sur La Table, Williams & Sonoma and the BBB and LNT stores and I"m stumped. I've found all sorts of other sizes but they're not suitable for what I want to do.

My biggest problem is that I"m not a car driver -- so I need any place I go to has to be accessible by bus/train, etc. Any ideas? Someone suggested Michael's to me but I have no idea where one is in the city.

Any ideas would be appreciated because i have to make 20 loaves of bread tomorrow and bakeable portable bread molds would be GREAT.

    Thanks!

    Shannon

I don't know that Michaels would carry those - they have mostly cake and candymaking supplies - I'd call first. At any rate, there's a Michael's at the Village Crossing in Niles, which you could access from the Red Line El by taking Pace bus #290 (double-check that with RTA.)

Dobra at Delightful Pastries on Lawrence is helpful with this sort of thing. Tell her you're an LTHer when you call.

I've seen them at Flavour, in Forest Park, easily accessible by the Blue Line, but maybe a bit of a hike for you.
