Gelato at Cyd & d'Pano?

Saturday, I popped into Cyd & d'Pano, the specialty grocer on Randolph Street. They had a wide variety of gelato, which they even made a point of talking up a bit, but I just wasn't in the mood. Anyone with opinions on C&P's gelato? (n.b. eatchicago, it didn't look at all grainy).

It is really not very good. Some of the flavors looked appealing but a quick taste changed all that -- I get the feeling that the gelato sits there in the case for too long, getting a little crusty...
