    Hi

I'm an apple addict  I was wondering if anyone knew of a local resource for organic apples, particularly good, organic Fuji apples which I believe are in season. I see conventional Fujis everywhere (always get a kick out of the monstrous melon-sized Fujis in Asian markets) and not too many places that I've been to have organic Fujis. And, sorry for being so picky, but I prefer if they are domestic (washington! :D ) and not from New Zealand or Chile or whatnot. So far I've been been getting organic Fujis at Trader Joe's and Dominick's, but they're not consistently in stock and lately I've been underwhelmed by the quality of TJ's Fujis.
Is there a gem of a local market rife w/ organic Fujis that I don't know about? I was excited to read the thread about the Cali oranges at the Egg Store and plan on stopping by the 35th/Halsted location soon.

I saw Fujis at Sunflower today, and am around 90% sure they were organic. You could call before you go.

In this vein, are Senshu apples available locally? I picked some this summer and fell in love with the snow-white flesh and the flavor. They're listed as a Fuji cross...

Holly thanks for the tip on Sunflower. It's not far from me so I went today and picked up a few Fujis. They are indeed organic, and were also on sale for 1.49/lb. Also got some sweet potatoes which were on sale for .99/lb as well as some interesting snacks. There were tons and tons of great samples all over the store too.

Mhays, I haven't had Senshu apples before but have you checked any of the larger farmers' markets like Green City? They usually have a wide variety of apple breeds.
