    Is this considered selling out?:
    Minor Threat hot sauce
    Sounds pretty hardcore...

I think it's safe to say Ian McKaye would not approve.
Worst of all, it's described as mild...
I love restaurants. You're sitting there and all of a sudden, there's food. It's like magic.

I don't know. I think "Feisty yet Sensible" describes Ian pretty well. At least they didn't call it Fugazi.

If it was Fugazi it would have to be called "This is not a Fugazi Hot Sauce"...

Ian MacKaye liked the sauce and had no problem with the name, but didn't want anyone to think that it was officially endorsed by the band so the original artwork was changed. See the original artwork here.

Ha! I love this. My brother used to run a website called, "the crutch" that reviewed rock music - mostly under the radar stuff. He didn't have the resources to sell advertising while writing, interviewing, going to show, etc. so he turned it into a blog then just got tired of the whole thing. Some of the bands he covered have started making it big now (Ponys, Redwalls, The M's, The Changes).

Needless to say, he would second your non endorsement. Funny.

I don't know, I like their suggestion of making a Merzbow condiment. It would have to be something like a pink tinted Wasabi and chili sauce, that looks perfectly sedate and harmless, but cauterizes your sinuses and blisters your alimentary canal when ingested.

yeah...I'd try a Merzbow salsa before the Minor Threat one :)
