Several weeks back the Trib good eating section mentioned this healthy, convenient (just add water) pancake mix. I was curious if anyone had tried this mix, and if so how were the results? and were did you pick up the mix? The convenience factor appeals to me as a student, and I enjoy multi-grain/wholewheat pancakes - if they're done right. The link is to the blurb found "in the aisles" section.

We bought the mix at Dominick's. The Lovely Dining Companion was very curious as well. She had them on Saturday and I had only a small bite--being involved in a breakfast of my own. I would say, based on that single small bite, that they're very good. I liked the fluffiness and even the slightly different taste (probably attributable to the whole wheat, which isn't usually a plus for me). Sorry I can't offer a more useful opinion.

I don't remember the price at all--except that Dominick's had them on sale a week ago and I remember noting the regular price (high, in my estimation) and thinking, "Gee, that's a pretty good sale price." Don't know if they're good enough to justify the regular price; me, I just mix in some buckwheat flour with my regular mix or make 'em from scratch.

Thanks for the feedback Gypsy Boy. If you don't mind me asking, which Dominick's did you find them on sale at?

6009 N. Broadway, about a block north of the Thorndale red line stop. Good luck!

Well I found the Kodiak Cakes Pancake mix at the afore mentioned Dominick's, and an enjoyed a great breakfast of blueberry wholewheat pancakes this morning. The pancakes were certainly easy, and tasty enough to fit into my early morning routine. Thanks
