Post #1 - January 23rd, 2008, 11:57 amI will be hosting a paczki fun day on the 3 February at the bakery, Delightful Pastries. People will fry their own paczki, glaze them and fill them with what ever filling they like. The fillings will include plum butter, rose petal jelly, raspberry, blueberry, custard, boozy custard, and fresh strawberry and whipped cream. Everyone will have a dozen paczki to eat or to take home. Also we will do traditional chrusciki which are cruellers and people will munch on some and take some home. Coffee, tea and milk will be provided. This event will start at 2PM and finish around 3:30PM depending on how much fun everyone is having. The cost is $15.
If anyone is interested please RSVP by January 31.

Post #7 - January 23rd, 2008, 7:41 pmWish I could make it, I'm afraid I'm booked...but should mention (having been in said kitchen and sampled the jelly, if not the whole product) that along with the certainty of deliciousness inherent in this event, the paczi-injector widget is a joy to behold, and I'm jealous of anyone who gets to use it. If I ever get the chance at a fancy kitchen, I plan on having one built-in over my sink.

Unfortunately, I'll be home watching Tom Brady cap off a perfect season and will not be able to make it to the paczki event. Darn!Steve Z.

I was wondering if you'd give me an idea of what was in the dough so I could see if I could make them gluten-free (I know I can't duplicate it completely, but)
