Culinary Historians of Chicago presents
25 Years of Great Chicago Cooking and Drinking
Presented by
Carol Haddix, Food Editor, Chicago Tribune, and
Barbara Glunz, The House of Glunz Wine Shop
Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008
10 a.m. to Noon
at
Chicago History Museum
1600 N. Clark St.
Chicago, Illinois
Carol Haddix, food editor for the Chicago Tribune and a founding member of the Culinary Historians of Chicago, will be discussing and signing “Chicago Cooks” (25 Years of Food History, with Menus, Recipes and Tips from Les Dames d’Escoffier Chicago.) She will be joined by Barbara Glunz, who will discuss the changes in the wine and spirits business for the last quarter century. The Glunz family’s wine shop on Wells St. has been a pillar of our city’s legacy since the late 1800s.
Do join us to hear about Chicago’s culinary explosion over the last 25 years as our city was transformed from a heartland stronghold of meat, potatoes and ethnic favorites to one of the country’s (if not the world’s) culinary centers.
