A belated thanks to LTHForum!

I've been lurking in the shadows of LTHForum for upwards of a year now and finally felt worthy of registering and expressing my gratitude for all I've discovered here.

Some of the past year's experiences for which I can thank LTHForum:

- Sharing a pizza with friends at Burt's Place and chatting with Burt outside as he retracted his awning for the night.
- Developing enough of an appreciation for true barbecue from GWiv's prowess that I have a WSM on order from Russo Ace Hardware (for when they're back in stock!)
- Sheepishly admitting to BuddyRoadhouse that I was a LTHForum "lurker" as he waited my table at Burt's; then becoming a fast fan of his sauce.
- Discovering countless new diners and mom-n-pop restaurants, some of which I'd driven by for years before hearing about them here.
- Spending many weekends on roadtrips outside Chicagoland (mainly Milwaukee) and still waiting for my first less-than-terrific meal.
- The Garbage Plate at Frank's Diner!

Nothing to feel sheepish about Howie! You and the rest of the LTH membership would probably be surprised to learn that the overwhelming majority of folks who made their way to Burt's through LTH were lurkers, not posters.

As for that sauce thing, well...aw, shucks, it weren't nuthin'.
