Rirkrit Tiravanija, an artist who has used food very prominently in his work (most famously to cook and serve Thai food to gallery visitors) is going to be speaking on
a panel this Saturday at the Museum of Contemporary Art. It should be a very interesting talk. The panel is actually on the legacy of
Gordon Matta-Clark (whose known mainly for his work with architecture and negative space but who helped found the restaurant "Food" in SoHo in the early '70s), so the discussion won't be centered on food, but food-related issues will likely come up.
People Who Shape Our World: Gordon Matta-Clark's Legacy
Saturday, February 2, 1 pm
MCA Theater
To reserve tickets call: 312.397.4010
(There's a $3 handling fee per order but otherwise the talk is free.)
