I have to sadly cancel my participation in the Paczki Celebration. Too much going on, not enough time. Thank you to Dobra for setting this up!

Is it too late to sign up? There would be two of us. I'm just waiting to hear back from my husband - he is interested but I wasn't sure he was clear that it would be THIS weekend, o sacred football day. He should be confirming shortly.

I'll be there--I should have asked how late on 1/31 I could let you know! Here's the problem. I have one possible and one probable person coming with me. Can I be put done for 2, possibly 3 people? Will this mess you up?

I will be coming but I may have to leave a wee bit early. I'm meeting my parents in Schaumburg at 5 and I'm sure I'll need to change before then. Otherwise, I'm down with the paczkis. As long as I'm not included in the cutoff, since I'm confirming after that message was sent out? I just realized I was supposed to answer yesterday!! Please count me in...

C2 gifted The Wife and I with a few of these paczki, and they were excellent. I appreciated the quality of the jelly goo inside, much tastier than most I've had, and the cake was moist, dense and not a bit greasy, suggesting the oil was at just the right heat. Delectable.

I had such a wonderful time today at the bakery! And I learned a lot. Thank you, Dobra, for opening up your business to so many people and allowing us to fry with you. My family was impatiently waiting for my return so that they could tear into the paczkis and the other goodies I brought home for them. We will definitely be making another trip to the bakery soon.

I hope you have another bakery day again in the near future. I would love to participate again.

Dobra - Thank you very much to you and your parents. As usual, I had such a great time as your guest! Biting into a paczki just minutes after being fried, filled, and dusted with powdered sugar was just heavenly. The fillings are the perfect level of sweetness for me. I love the light, airy dough. I can no longer eat any other paczkis or doughnuts from another bakery! Everyone in my family LOVED them.

Here are a couple of pictures from my camera.

    Thanks! Really enjoyed it.

I'll be stopping by again soon to get some of that sunflower rye bread. You know, something extra healthy to balance out all the paczki I'll be eating tonight and tomorrow.

    Thanks again :)

Dobra, thank you (and your parents) for welcoming us into your bakery. It was a wonderful, delicious learning experience and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Having the opportunity to see first hand how paczki and chrust are made allowed me to appreciate all the effort put in... and it made everything taste even better. Thank you & your parents again for preparing the doughs in advance and allowing us to play in your kitchen.

I'll update with pics of the event soon after they've been uploaded!

    Dobra,

I want to thank you so much for sharing your expertise and bakery with us yesterday. It was an informative and very enjoyable afternoon and I was thrilled to have had the opportunity to cut and shape dough for chrust and fry and fill paczki.

Thanks again for a terrific afternoon.

I am in deep-fried nirvana. Dobra, thank you! It can't be easy preparing your kitchen for that kind of invasion, but you did a masterful job keeping the masses sated and intrigued.

Now...I must go see how many paczkis I can eat for breakfast. :)

Thanks so much to Dobra and her parents! You were all so sweet and the whole event was a blast. I'd love to come to more of these events! The boozy custard paczkis went first. Mmmmmm tasty. This whole event reminded me why I got into pastry. And that donut-filling machine was so cool!

Everyone was great. I see potential future bakers in the crowd.

Oh, they look beautiful. My friend got ill--she hoped to feel well enough to go, but wasn't able to make it. Even if I'd wanted to go without her, wthout a ride, there was no way I could make it in time.

    I'm sorry I missed it--looks like y'all had a great time.
