I could make this a very simple, non-descriptive review, putting every positive feeling which I have about Volare, in one word. Although, I wouldn't know which positive word I'd use. The word would either be delightful, divine, immaculate, marvelous, or even perfect. I attest to this, dining at Volare makes me feel like I am in heaven. I always feel good about dining at Volare, at least in the four times I have dined there since they opened late last year. A restaurant truly is worth praise when it is a place where you plan and anxiously await dining there days in advance. Volare is a restaurant worth praise. The quality of the food, the service, and even the atmosphere, is impeccable, in my opinion. Everything from the ground up. Even the ceiling has a nice cloud design which makes me feel even more like I'm in heaven.

Anyways, I have elaborated plenty about my feelings regarding Volare, in general. To detail the experience, specifically, based from my visit to Volare last night, would be to say that it was just as wonderful as my other visits to Volare. Firstly, Volare's management and staff are very accomodating to me, making sure that I am seated at a very close table, since I am disabled and I cannot walk far. Secondly, the service maintains itself as being friendly and prompt, along with the very nice owner of Volare, who visits customers to welcome them, which causes people to feel wanted and appreciated there. Lastly, the food is, well, at least from what I order, is perfect. Not near-perfect. It is perfect. I order Capellini with shrimp in a light marinara sauce, light meaning not much sauce.

My order is cooked in a way in which the sauce seems to infuse itself into the pasta, rather than for the sauce to cover on the top of the pasta like a gravy. The flavors of the sauce don't dry out, rather, they are infused into the pasta as well. By doing this, the sauce doesn't invade into the shrimp, causing the shrimp to lose its flavor and/or to be masked by sauce. My philosophy regarding Italian food is the same as my philosophy regarding BBQ. The sauce is not the boss. Volare understands this, at least with my order, so, I am happy regarding the food there, as well as everything else about Volare. I have been very impressed by Volare and I have no doubt that Volare will be a great success in the OakBrook area, despite having alot of competition around. I highly recommend Volare to everyone here on LTHForum.

I, too, am a big fan of Volare for all the reasons you mention in your post. The restaurant consistently executes all of its dishes and that makes it such a pleasure to dine there again and again. One my favorites is their Osso Buco; it just falls off the bone and is served on delicious, airy poletna.

I enjoy their Streeterville location more simply because it's a busier atmosphere, but everything there is done to perfection as well. Benny and his FOH folks certainly know how to provide a great dining experience on a consistent basis.

Volare in Oak Brook Terrace is a favorite of my wife's and mine. If you are there when osso buco or the braciole is a special you are lucky. Both are excellent. The osso buco comes on a bed of polenta. My wife likes the angel hair bolognese and the chicken cacciatore. The service is excellent, efficient but friendly. every time we have dined here the manager or owner has stopped by the table to ask how things are that evening.
