I've dined occasionally at Graziano's on Touhy in Niles since their opening. It might be courteous to say that it was, from the beginning, a local restaurant and not a "destination" restaurant.

Last month, we visited and were dismayed by the changes made in the pizza and salad - which were probably the best combination they have regularly offered.

The sausage on the pizza used to be very good but this time it was very gristly and I think the other ingredients also slipped. And I'm not sure how you make a bottomless salad go from "just ok" to "not so ok" but somehow they managed.

I've always forgiven Graziano's for service and non-pizza food issues, but now that the pizza has slipped, I can no longer go back.

They've slipped, they've fallen, and they can't get up!

Back in the late '90s I was a big fan. Loved the salad and loved the skirt steak. The last time I was there was about 4 years ago. The salad they now served in much smaller portions and it was a pain to get them to refill. The skirt steak went up about 4o% in price and down about 40% in size. And they no longer served the excellent onion strings with it.

Now the only time I go there is if I'm in the neighborhood and want to pick up some salad dressing. Haven't eaten there since.

I work very close by and folks in my office regularly order in from there- I've just never been impressed personally...

We used to go frequently, my parents always liked their quantities and my children love their kids' meals (that PBJ pizza really is yummy) but we too have found it slipping. I've found them less flexible on orders than they used to be and service hasn't been great.

Haven't found too great a change in the food. We still go there 3-4 times a year.
