I'm bummed that I'm going to miss a chance to meet the illustrious Bridgestone, and at LSC no less! Mama happy_stomach's got to go into the hospital the next day, and I promised to fast with her in solidarity. If my commitment that night were anything less, I'd be there! Eat some {fill in the blank with any of LSC's offerings} for me! Bridgestone, I hope I can meet and eat with you on your next, next visit to Chicago.

    I will try

7:30 is logistically difficult -- I work in loop 9-5 -- there are 2.5 hours between

But it definitely sounds like a 4 star occasion

Finally in the Midwest after a long Stockholm-Warsaw-Chicago flight - whew!

What a wonderful thing to discover right before giving in to jetlag - an official announcement of the dinner I begged Gary to help me out with! I'm very excited and while O'hare customs did manage to find and remove the 4 beautiful kielbasa I bought at the airport in Warsaw, I did manage to smuggle some other goodies through. I'll bring them to dinner!

I'm flying out again on Tuesday afternoon so I sadly won't have anymore chances for dinner on this visit. I'll hopefully be able to plan a little better before my next visit.

It'll be great meeting everyone who can make it on Monday.

Bridgestone is quite the draw, including PM's it looks like we are currently up to 17, room for a few more as LSC does a nice job with groups.

Should be an interesting and delicious evening.

    See you all there.

Please PM or respond to the thread if attending.

    Thanks,

We look to have quite a crowd, over 20 already, and I called to reserve, at Cathy2's suggestion, the upstairs dining room. LSC's upstairs dining room is not accessed by the main restaurant downstairs, but is on the second floor directly above the ground floor restaurant with it's own separate entrance.

    Enjoy,

    Hi,

Just want to comment from eatchicago's experience on Christmas Eve, that room taps out at around 30. There were people eating on the sofa, which isn't too comfortable.

Cathy2's mention of the Christmas Eve dinner at LSC reminds me once again what a wonderful time I had that evening, what with the great LTH company and my introduction to LSC's incredible food!

I would love to join everyone Monday night, but am facing my usual problem of getting to a restaurant in an area where finding parking close enough for my limited walking abilities would be difficult, if not impossible.

So if anyone is coming from or through Evanston and would be willing to give me a ride, I would be thrilled to make it. Please let me know.... If not, I join happy_stomach in saying: "Eat some {fill in the blank with any of LSC's offerings} for me!" :)

    LTH,

We are at 23 attendees with 4 maybe and Tarte tatin politely requesting a ride from Evanston.

Room for a few more as, due to room size, the cut-off is 30.

    Looking forward to the evening.

I had a great time, thanks Gary for arranging this! The food was great, and it was really nice to see familiar faces as well as meeting new ones. (FrankP I hope your first LTH outing was worth the wait!) Thanks to Bridgestone for the excuse to go to LSC as well as the addictive Swedish candy. Mmmm, Dumle....As for the Ferrari candy, I think the Crown Prince must have really strong teeth.

Also, I have in my possession a Macy's bag with four boxes of Frango Mints that were left at LSC--do they belong to someone? If so, let me know and I will get them back to you.
