I realize this a rather broad subject, but for just your generic chinese/american cuisine is there a good one? All of the recipes I get off the internet always seem to be missing something. I prefer sechzuan to the other types if that helps narrow it down. Thanks.

These are the ones I find myself referring to over and over again.

    Barbara Tropp's China Moon Cookbook

Ken Hom's Easy Family Recipes from a Chinese-American Childhood God I love this book, I've made most of the recipes and they are all wonderful.

    Hi,

Since you prefer Szechuan, then I advise you look into:

Land of Plenty: A Treasury of Authentic Sichuan Cooking by Fuchsia Dunlop (Hardcover - June 2003)

I do not have this book, though it is on my list of things to acquire. I have heard her in radio interviews advise how she happened to be traveling through Szechuan and enrolled in a professional cooking school there. I have only read favorable reviews of this book.

I highly recommend Land of Plenty aka Sichuan Cookery. By-the-way, a great companion to any Lao Sze Chuan trip. It's low on the foodporn, but high on readability.
