LTH members Seth Zurer and wife Karensa will be performing Stravinsky's Histoire du Soldat along with an ensemble of musicians including mushroomer Leon Shernoff:
Including: Frederick Rzewski's De Profundis for speaking pianist, on Oscar Wilde's text written in prison -- performed by rising star Thomas Rosenkranz from the University of Hawaii…
…and Stravinsky's L'histoire du Soldat, with Kerensa Peterson as the Narrator, Seth Zurer as the soldier, and Chicago literary celebrity Sara Paretsky (of VI Warshawski fame) playing the role of the devil.
There will be two performances:
1. Feb. 15, 8PM at the Hyde Park Union Church (corner of Woodlawn and 56th)
2. Feb. 16, 8PM at Alice Millar Chapel, on the Northwestern University Campus (corner of Sheridan and Chicago).
Tickets are $10, up to two days prior to the performance night, $12 at the door.
