It's easy to find aluminum ones, but I haven't seen a stainless steel one except at Ikea. Sadly I did not snap it up when I saw it, but now it's too far away. Any handy place in the city to get one that you know of?

    I'm looking for a 6-cupper.

I called the Coffee and Tea Exchange, but they don't carry the Bialetti Musa. You might try Sur La Table or other tea/coffee specialty shops.

Or, just order it on Amazon.

I got mine at Conte di Savoia on Taylor street a few months ago. I have a 6-cup model (which, in my book makes 2 nice cups of espresso). I believe it was around $25 (don't quote me, but that's in the general ballpark).

    1438 W. Taylor St .

Edited: Sorry, I take it back--mine is aluminum. For some reason I thought it was stainless.

Sweet Marias carrys Bialetti Moka pots. This is an excellent company - they know what they are doing and really only carry good quality stuff.

    See http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.brewers.mokapot.shtml

There is also a how-to guide on that page.

Intelligentsia? Their Broadway and Randolph Street locations have a stock of coffee makers (I'm sure the Monadnock one does, too, but I'm never there), and if anyone was going to carry a higher-end product, they would be it.

It looks like Intelligentsia only carries the aluminum models, not the stainless steel ones. And they are currently out of stock on these.

    See http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/store/wares/brewing

It's possible the store has stuff that the website doesn't. Call ahead to check.
