A few weeks ago we went to Tournesol on Lincoln at Montrose where they offer 3 courses for $23 on Tues-Thurs. And they have a $22 wine list on those days. If I remember correctly there are usually about 3 main courses to choose from--both meat and fish. It's a great way to have an excellent meal (and vino) at affordable prices. If they're serving the duck, I highly recommend that.

I ate here last night. I thought it was wonderful. My lady works down the street and she didn't even know about it. We nearly drove past it. She ordered the eggplant caviar on the prix fix menu, and I ordered the special, duck shepards pie. We both started with the lentil soup, which was more like a bisque. It was divine. Thier sourdough baguette was served hot and toasty with a side of butter with sea salt on top. We accompanied our food with a 2002 French Syrah from the $22 menu. It was very good as well. Our main courses followed suit and proceeded to astound both of us. My shepards pie was more like braised duck with creamy mashed potatos lightly broiled on top of it. It was rich and full of duck and very few carrots and potatoes. My lady's caviar was served on bed of spinach with a borscht-like drizzle. We split the lemon tart, which had a rasberry puree drizzled on top of it. We both were very impressed with our overall dining experience. I highly recommend it.
