    All -

Didn't see one focused thread covering overall experiences from Restaurant week (the one going on right now - ending today).

Anyone had a great meal you thought was worth it?

    Any misses?

Might try to see if I can snag a reservation somewhere tonight.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but being a red meat lover I've enjoyed two separate but equally enjoyable lunch visits to Fogo de Chao at the restaurant week reduced rate of $21.95 for the meat-a-thon, pricing ends today. Succulent lamb chops and filet mignon and an excellent salad bar, tough to beat.

Three cheers for restaurant week, it was a hit with us.

"B-pluses" for Aigre Doux and Naha, a "B" for Primehouse.

    ~ Naha ~
Very impressive, fine flavors throughout, highlighted by the delicately delicious acorn squash soup to start, followed by roast quail bursting with a smokey tomato taste, and to finish, a sweet tooth satisfying pineapple tart with coconut hints. Plus a complimentary post-dessert muse to close the deal. Service was on the mark, ambience both subtly elegant and soothing, and a demonstrable value for this prix fixe format. House label pinot noir - apparently in concert with Au Bon Climat - a most pleasant pour. A fine experience and will look forward to the next time.

    ~ Aigre Doux ~
Early reservation gave us a great booth seat, facing the stylish decor; seating location in this restaurant struck me as key given the variety of spots. Starters of haricot vert soup and pumpkin ravioli very strong, accompanying bread service top notch and superb vehicle for sopping up lingering liquids of both. Salmon entree okay, its side of crispy polenta delicious. Short rib not packed with flavor but quite tender and satisfying. Its side of whipped and contoured sweet potato a power pack of smooth goodness. Malted milk pudding dessert a wondrous creation, just the right finisher. Service slightly above average. Impressed and would go back in the right circumstance.

    ~ Primehouse ~
Food quality was high, service and ambience a little less so. Lobster bisque rich but bland (although small "egg roll" that joined it was superb), mini filet and prime a la delmonico were outstanding - best accompaniments of these two were basil potatoes and asparagus. Dessert was great in the form of a cheescake lollipop, milkshake, and "prime" cake - each with a chocolate twist. Qupe syrah half bottle started and finished well. Overall a very good experience, and a fine value for the restaurant week price.
