Continuation of
The Good, The Bad and The Hecky
LTH,
The last of my holiday, for yesterday at least, errands put me in Ukrainian Village around 8. Hungry, but not starving, a slice of pizza sounded just the ticket. Santullo's, mentioned favorably in yesterdays "The Good, The Bad and The Hecky" thread, was on my radar.
Santullo's was very good, flavorful, almost rich tasting as if there was a good quality olive oil lurking in the background, though it might simply be grease from the pepperoni.
Santullo's crust was to my taste as well, crisp, but not dry, foldable, but not brittle.
Seeing as how I was but a few blocks from GOT pizza I thought I have one more slice for the sake of LTH Science. GOT was just as good as the day before, in other words, quite good.
If I had to pick one over the other Santullo's would win on flavor/taste points, but GOT wins on convenience points with parking.
As I said, I am not NY pizza maven, nor do I wish to be. I simply like pizza. Also, I should point out that neither GOT or Santullo's is going to replace Vito and Nick's, Candlelite or Zaffiro's in my pantheon of pizza.
Enjoy,
Gary
