Anyone else interested in this? I would really like to go. I emailed the address that Chef Cantu left to rsvp at, asking about space left. I would bring one or two people with me.

    HI,

I also reserved and haven't heard anything, which I did almost as fast as the offer popped up. I estimate one of these days they will send an acknowledgement. They have almost 6 weeks to accomplish this.

Should we all go as one group, or just reserve seperately?

    HI,

You need to reserve for yourself, because several of us already reserved. I will cross my fingers and hope you (and us!) get in.

I just received an email invitation after I rsvped last night. It just gives the price for a five course tasting and requests that I rsvp the number in my party. Did anyone else get the email? I am very uncertain, but also very excited as to what this event will be.

I think everyone who responded to the invitation here got it. I noticed several familiar names in the "sent to" area.

I'm sure Cantu et al wish they could tell you, but you'll just have to wait for Nash's decoder course to learn the meaning of this time format. Seriously, this is the most bizarre event invitation I've ever seen. What a loyal following these guys must have to get away with this nonsense.

    Kenny,

Suspension of disbelief my friend, it's fun, it's theater, it's edible.

My wife and I are simply going to strap into the Otom Thunderbolt and enjoy the ride.

I pass no judgment on those that have decided to attend this event I call nonsense. Heck, I continue to fork over cash for a couple of Cubs tickets every year, and people who live in glass houses...

i remember a while back that Chef Cantu said he likes to write backwards, try decoding it that way. I would post what I think it says here, but there was also a disclaimer saying that the email was confidential and should not be shared.

In that case, I hope he writes that the event costs $1000.00. And the servers should duck if they ask for tips.

Hi all, Daryl Nash from Team Otom here. Just checking in to let every one who has RSVP'd Omar to check their e-mail. If you were able to get to Chef quickly enough, you recieved your "golden confirmation." We already are fully commited for the evening after only one day of responses. I'm really excited to roll out my spring menu with so many friends of the restaurant here. I look forward to speaking with you and also anticipate no satellite interference that evening, clear skies and crisp transmission. Cheers!

I responded within a couple of hours to the invite and haven't heard anything back, affirmative or negative. I sent an email in last night after seeing Daryl's post to find out what the scoop was and haven't heard anything back.

I guess I'll just show up at 5pm fingers crossed and hungry!
