Deerfield Trading Co. sodas, no HFCS

There's little online about these house-brand sodas at Walgreens, sold in the refrigerator case. They were apparently introduced in the fall.

They're sold in 16-ounce glass bottles and the price is about the same as other chilled single beverages, around $1.39, and they're on sale 3 for $3 this week with coupon. They come in cream soda, root beer, orange and black cherry, and they're made with sugar -- and no high-fructose corn sweetener.

I tried the black cherry and found it as good as any I've had.

I have a difference of opinion here -- I sampled the black cherry last year and found it overly sucrets-like. And why does a cherry soda need artificial flavors anyway?

I think I've been spoiled by Michigan's Cherry Republic.
