Great dinner last night at HL. The food was great. My favorite was the fried chicken. As always, the company was best part of the dinner. Thanks to Wendy for organizing this dinner.

Tom--nice pictures. I'll be having dinner at Habana Libre tomorrow. So it was this Gary who showed up last night without a camera? :D

    Happy Stomach,

You have identified the correct Gary. Though both Garys (GWiv and GAF) are known to carry cameras.

    Regards,

Despite splitting my finger open on a cracked bottle neck of Bohemia beer, I too had a really swell dinner last night! Its a good feeling stepping out of on-line anonymity and I like to think that sharing part in a community both on and off line is very special to LTH. Its a great bunch of folks that I am happy to belong to! Special thanks to aschie30 for setting up such a nice event!

I just want to thank everyone for coming -- I had a really good time and I thought that the food coming out of the kitchen was quite good. The restaurant seemed to handle a group this size with ease. My favorite was the pollo frito, but I also loved the richness of the braised oxtail (rabo encendido). As others have echoed above, while the food was great at this gathering, the lively nature of this bunch made the evening especially enjoyable.

Special thanks go to the ever-resourceful and fun Dimitra (Hellodali), who came equipped with fixins for mojitos and cheerfully made the most delicious mojitos for the table.

Sorry to those that couldn't make it, and tarte tatin, I hope you're feeling better soon.
