    Two questions:

    1) It's BYOB, this may be a silly question, but do I need to bring glasses? (I've actually never been to a BYOB place, I know most places you need not.)

    2) This secret menu, I know I have to ask for it, but it's in Thai right? No English, so I need to bring the menu that "Food First" translated to have a clue?

    Thank you thank you.

They have both a translated (i.e., English-language) Thai menu and a list of "favorites" from the Trib. I've brought Eric M's translated menu, but you can do fine with the one they have there (also translated by Eric M).

Answer to chrisch's other question: Spoon supplies glassware and corkscrew for your wine.

It surprised me to find that as recently as last night, I had not yet tried Spoon Thai's duck salad (larb ped).

I'm glad that I finally did. This is a terrific Thai salad that surprisingly allows the duck flavor through the assertive heat and brightness of the "dressing".

Also on tap last night were the "one bite salad", thai fried chicken (so good that someone should regulate my intake), and their simple and excellent pad woon sen:
