Jazzfood wanted an excuse to get together once more before he goes out of town for a while, so we'll be feasting on broasted chicken, goat chaap, dal palak, and other Pakistani/tandoor goodies Tuesday evening.

Of course, Khan's is an obvious Great Neighborhood Restaurants winner.

The more people who join us, the greater the variety of dishes we'll be able to sample. So, c'mon.

I haven't been to Khan's yet. Shame on me - I know. This seems like a good chance, eh? I'll be there.

Hmmmm.... I will try as I've been meaning to go back to Khan's since the Devonathon. But it's probably 50/50.

    Thanks, for putting this together.

I'm afraid I need to bow out of tonight's dinner as I have to work late.
    Enjoy!

Nope, not going to work out - I seem to be coming down with some sort of chest congestion thing and don't want to get everybody else sick.

But thanks for thinking about us!!

Since so many are dropping out I guess I'll go just to keep the order power up to LTH speed. ;)

    Thread,

It was tough, but anything for good ol' LTH.

Meanwhile, back at the tandor, Khan was hitting on 7 of 8 cylinders as I am simply not a fan of the tandori fish, some element of spicing seems to intensify the muddy aspect of the catfish to the point of murky swamp. Admittedly this seems to be a one off reaction, maybe it's on the order of a small percentage of the population finding cilantro soapy

    Sure is pretty though.

Khan did have the ever elusive goat chanp, tandor cooked rib and shoulder goat chops.

All in all yet another, in a long string, of terrifically satisfying meals at Khan BBQ. Good idea NR and I hope it holds Jazzfood in good stead during his extended Chicago absence.

    Enjoy,

Guess I picked the wrong week to be out of town. Mr. Kahn is taunting me.

Great time last night. I liked the catfish - perfectly juicy, and the relatively bland flavor of the fish was a perfect carrier for Mr. Khan's spicing. It was also fun to speculate over the brief comment that the broasted chicken could be the new chicken crack (apologies to Lao Sze Chuan). Thanks to all who showed up.

Took some first-timers to Khan last night. Rock solid as usual. Particularly want to think JimTheBeerGuy and everyone else who raved about the Daal Palak last night, because we ordered it and loved it. We quite enjoyed goat qorma also, which was new to me. We mopped up every last drop of the sauce with naan.

Frontier Beef was the least of the dishes we ordered and it was still really pretty good -- it's just that lined up against those two plus the classic boti and broast chicken, pretty good doesn't cut it.
