    Related to this, David Rosengarten wrote an entire cookbook, It's All American Food, based on the diversity that comprises our culture as well as our cuisine. It is one of my favorite cookbooks, covering the whole gamut, from tuna salad sandwiches to borscht to chile verde to bulgogi....

    Bill-- I have that book but the only things I tried out of it one Thanksgiving were just okay. What do you particularly recommend?

    - guacamole with grilled onion and roasted garlic
    - Hunan crispy beef with ginger sauce
