You need to go in order to understand. It's not run down at all; it's a very nice steakhouse, family-owned (NOT a chain). I've been there at least a dozen times, and I have consistently been impressed. Yes, the decor is conventional steakhouse decor, but that's true of most steakhouses. The food is consistently excellent - everything from the steaks, to the seafood (always fresh seafood, properly cooked), to the desserts (the banana bavarian is exquisite, and even the rice pudding is exceptional). The prices are actually significantly lower than the "big name" steakhouses in the area (see links above).
