    CBS just purchased Cnet, home of Chow.com, formerly known as Chowhound. Purchase price is $1.8 billion. Details here,

    How fondly I remember the days when we'd pass the hat to help pay for Chowhound's expenses :wink: . [OK, to be fair, they needed the money back then and we acted in good faith . . . ]

    This would be a good time to copy anything you want from Chowhound, just in case new corporate parents decide to kill off a few less-profitable divisions.
