    Hi all!

We (me, my husband and dad) are travelling to Chicago this weekend for Memorial Day. It is our first time in Chicago and the trip is mainly for my husband who is a huge Cubs fan. We will be going to the game on Monday but want to catch the Saturday night away game at a local sports bar with Cubs fans. Any suggestions??

My husband and dad will be there for the game and beer. I am pregnant so I will be there for the food:-) Any "cubs" sports bars with good food and a good drink selection (specifically draft beer)?

    Thanks for the help!!

Your best bet for good beer on tap is going to be goose island brewing company located right near the stadium.

here is a thread below discussing food options near Wrigley.

I would second Goose. I've been enjoying their new menu, particularly the Zuni Burger (gorgonzola, grilled red onions on rosemary (I think) foccia bread. Their specials are always interesting.

Note that we usually go to the Clybourn location. The 20th Anniversary Ale on hand pump is yummy.

Uberstein on Clark Street is a bit different than what you'll find in the rest of Wrigleyville where much of the food and the beer is the same. Uberstein serves German beers only. The menu is varied in comparison to most of the local places as it features entrees like potato pancakes, spaetzel and a sauasage plate featuring a thuringer, a couple of brats, and a frankfurter steamed in beer and then finsihed on the grill.

We were just there for the first time, it's a great place to watch a game especially if the game is going on down the street- it's relatively quiet in there then.
is making all his reservations under the name Steve Plotnicki from now on.

Interesting, The "Zuni Burger" is the signature burger at Zuni Cafe on Market Street in San Francisco.

I am surprised the name isin't trademarked.

Sheffields is a few blocks further from the ballpark. This makes it a bit less crazy on game day, and it has a nice selection of beer on tap and reasonably good BBQ and bar food.

And no, I don't want to reignite a debate on who has the best BBQ:

Sheffields isn't the best in town. But it does just fine before/after a Cubs game.
