Chickpeas & Bulghur in bulk. Can anyone recommend a store?

The lowest price I've been able to find for dry chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) is $1.19/lb at Pita House on Kedzie & Ainslie, and 99¢/lb for coarse bulghur (the kind you make tabouli with), same place. BTW, before anyone mentions the Home Economist in Skokie, I called them to ask about the price of garbanzo beans and was quoted $1.99/lb. I forgot to ask about the price of bulghur though.

So I'm shooting for less than $1/lb for chickpeas in the Chicagoland area. Can anyone recommend a store? Thanks!!

I can't speak to prices, but most of the grocery stores on Devon carry those - and I think there's a couple where they're bulk as well: Patel Bros?

My first thought was JP Graziano's where they have barrels of the stuff, but I don't remember how much they go for there.

I also get chickpeas at Patel Brothers... IIRC about $3-4 for 5 lbs. They have regular chickpeas but I prefer the black variety. It's much more satisfying and flavorful to my palate than regular chickpeas. If I was Bobby Flay I'd call it as "nutty" and "earthy."
