:?: We've been trying lots of these lately (mostly Cabs). Black Box, Hardy's and Fish Eye are our "favorites" so far. Anyone else have a "recommendation"? What they lack in quality, they make up in convenience. Thanks.

I really enjoyed the 2005 Chateau Lhorens - you can get it at World Market and it's a bit pricier than most boxes at $20.

Went to C+WM in Evanston and the only box wine is their $15 Wine for Chilling and Wine for Grilling. Good enough for us.

I was listening to some old Splendid Table podcasts on a road-trip recently and was intrigued by the one in which Lynne interviews Josh Wesson on boxed wine (Nov. 11, 2006). Here were his recommendations:

      Banrock Station Shiraz ($16)
      Delicato California Shiraz ($16)
      Dtour Macon-Villages ($38)
Black Box Monterey County Chardonnay ($18)
      Bandit Pinot Grigio ($10)
      Bandit Cabernet Sauvignon ($10)

After hearing his descriptions, I've been wanting to seek them out ever since...
These pretzels are making me thirsty...
